, and this is my Esk.
I haven't named him yet, but here he is wandering around in a misty forest. It's my submission for

's monthly prompt, which is to show them in their boundary. Something about him reminds me of birch trees, so it seems fitting that he would gravitate towards them. In such a misty atmosphere, he almost looks like a ghost...

Doing art has been hard for me lately, and I'm really glad I finally found inspiration to paint something. My art process can take a mental toll on me, but it's a relief to have finished a bigger piece. I'm looking forward to making more esk art, including my other little esk! In the meantime, please enjoy.

This is so spectacular! You really captured that misty forest atmosphere. I love seeing him around the birch trees. The texture of the birchbark is spot on. I also love the sparse grass, with this sort of late fall/early winter feel - the trees have lost their leaves, but there's no snow yet. It's a liminal time, just like your character shows by being here in his boundary! I love how elegantly you've shown his branches! There's this calm expression on his face that matches the cool atmosphere of the rest of the picture. His fur is SO beautiful - it makes me just want to run my hands through it! Such a beautiful painting!
