The Wardrobe of Ms. Nettle

Here we are, my second wardrobe picture! This time featuring Ms. Mollie Nettle, a young woman who is currently a patient at Seaside Asylum. Her story takes place in 1800s Britain!

This one certainly took longer than the male one did, as women's clothing was a bit more complicated. Lots of layers and folds and lace! They almost always wore long dresses of course, and in fact my Swimwear example is on the light side of the spectrum. Sometimes women wore long dresses while swimming, but I wanted the chance to draw her legs at least once.
I wish nightgowns were still in fashion, for both men and women, but I suppose you can wear whatever you want nowadays anyway! ; )

All of these outfits are based on photos and illustrations from the time, none are just made up. Though I had to take some guesses for the colours!
